Hi! My name is Renee Lynch and I serve as the Program Director as well as the Lead Teacher in the Orchid Room here at SVK. My commitment to early childhood advocacy is the driving force in my professional life, pushing me to obtain a BA and MA in the field. I am passionate about our unique program here at SVK and am incredibly grateful to be part of something that can truly make a difference in the lives of our children.
I believe in strong family-school relations and always strive to involve families as much as possible in the education process.
I live here in Saxapahaw with my two children and am honored to be a part of such an incredible community. In my free time you can find me hiking, kayaking, or curled up with a good book!
My name is Kendra Cruz and I am the Associate Director as well as the Lead Teacher in the Daffodil Room. I started my journey here at SVK in June of 2014. It has been an amazing experience to learn and grow here with incredible educators as we have developed this program. One of my very favorite parts of my job is exploring nature with my littles. It is a marvelous experience to see the beauty of the Earth through the eyes of the child.
I live in Swepsonville with my husband and two little boys, Jonah and Nolan. We love to spend any of our free time in the garden, at the beach or in the mountains!
My name is Karen Meade and I am very excited to join SVK preschool. I have worked with young children for more than 15 years. I love exploring nature with children, walking in the woods, exploring the creek and climbing trees. My favorite author is Robert Munsch. I love that he combines silliness with relatable characters. My favorite book is Mortimer, I am sure I read that book daily. I believe that children are great leaders. I have learned much from watching them explore their environments. They have much to teach.
My daughter and I live in Burlington. We love trips to the beach, geocaching, horseback riding and walks with our dog Daisy. I’m looking forward to many new journeys at SVK!
